You signed up for TikTok Shop, you open the app every day, and you have not made a single sale. You are not alone — 80% of creators we talked to quit in the first 30 days, not because they "are not cut out for it" but because they had no plan and did things out of order.
This guide is split into 4 weeks. Each week has clear work to do. Follow them in order, no rush.
Before you start — check where you actually are
Answer honestly:
1. Do you have at least 5 public TikTok clips up?
2. Do you know which of your clips performed best, and why?
3. Can you describe what you will sell in one sentence?
If you said "no" to more than one, start at Week 1. If "yes" to all, jump to Week 3.
Week 1 — Foundation
Goal: make the channel "ready to sell" before posting any selling clips.
Day 1-2 — Pick one niche
Find one category you can talk about for 90 days without getting bored or needing heavy research. Use the 3-circles test:
- Circle 1: what you know better than most people
- Circle 2: what you actually buy in real life
- Circle 3: whether TikTok Shop sells this category well (search inside TikTok — are there active creators? Are people actually buying?)
The intersection of all three is your niche. None of the three is optional. If you know it but no one buys it, you cannot sell. If people buy but you do not know it, you sound fake.
Day 3 — Set up a bio that sells
The bio is the first signal the algorithm reads. If your bio says "I sell lots of things," the algorithm does not know who to push you to.
A bio that works: 1 niche keyword + 1 value prop + 1 CTA. Do not put "DM to order" (TikTok down-ranks it). Do not stack hashtags (does not help).
Full breakdown with 3 example bios by niche — see the post "TikTok Shop bio setup".
Day 4-5 — Apply for TikTok Shop
TikTok Shop Thailand requires: national ID, bank account. Some categories (food, cosmetics, supplements) need FDA or certification.
No products of your own? Apply for TikTok Shop Affiliate. No inventory needed — sell other people's products and earn 3-25% commission depending on category.
Day 6-7 — Post 3 warm-up clips
Do not sell anything in your first clips. Introduce yourself, share niche pain points. Goal: let the algorithm classify your channel.
Warm-up clip formula: 3-sec hook + 20-sec content + open-ended ending. Example: "How does a beauty creator with no audience get sales in 30 days? I'll tell you over the next month."
Week 2 — Start posting for real (7 clips)
Goal: post 7 clips (1/day) to start accumulating signal.
30-second clip structure that works
0-3s: hook. 3-20s: content. 20-28s: insight. 28-30s: CTA.
A hook is not yelling — it is a question or curiosity gap. Example: "This cream is the cheapest on Shopee but works better than the 1,000-baht ones — really?"
See 7 hook formulas that work for Thai creators — post "TikTok Hook Formulas that work in 2026".
Rules for these 7 clips
1. Same niche on all 7 (no jumping)
2. Reference real products/problems in your category (not yet pinning to basket — just referencing)
3. Post at the same time daily (use Krevio audience signal, or try 19:00-22:00 first)
4. Reply to comments within 24 hours (algorithm reads engagement)
5. Do not delete clips that flop (the algorithm learns from both good and bad)
6. Check median views across these 7 — if ≥ 500, ready for Week 3
7. If median < 500, your niche may be too narrow or your hook too weak. Run Week 2 again with 7 new hook attempts.
Week 3 — Pin the basket for the first time
Goal: 7 clips with real product pins. Not to "make lots of sales" — to teach the algorithm that this is a commerce channel.
Choose your first product
Your first product does not need to be the best — it needs to be the safest. 7 criteria:
1. Price 100-300 baht (impulse-buy range)
2. Margin ≥ 30% (own product) or commission ≥ 10% (affiliate)
3. Has real reviews to reference
4. Matches the Week 1 niche
5. Comparable on Shopee/Lazada (buyers love to compare — if you match or beat the price, you win)
6. Fast shipping (TikTok Shop Mall/Choice)
7. Return-friendly (first-time buyers fear losing money — clear return policy lifts conversion)
Full breakdown + examples — see the post "First product to sell on TikTok Shop".
30-second selling-clip formula
Hook (3s): "Anyone who bought [product] and then..." Content (20s): real-use / demo / pros and cons. CTA (5s): "If interested, basket below — price [X], same as Shopee, with free shipping".
Do not yell the CTA. Avoid "buy now" / "running out" if not actually true — TikTok algorithm in 2026 down-ranks aggressive selling.
See 6 CTA patterns that convert 30-50% better than "click to buy" — post "TikTok Shop CTAs that close".
Week 4 — Read the data and decide
Goal: review data from 14 posted clips. Decide stay or pivot.
3 KPIs to check
1. Median views across 14 clips — ≥ 1,000 means niche fits audience, keep going. < 500 means niche too narrow or hook too weak.
2. Basket CTR (clicks on product / views) — target ≥ 2%. Lower means weak CTA or wrong product.
3. Order count — target ≥ 5 orders in 30 days. If yes, the model works. If no, fix KPI 1 + 2 before pushing harder.
Decide stay / fix / pivot
- All 3 KPIs pass — stay. Run another 30 days, expand catalog.
- Views pass, CTR drops — fix. Change CTA and product fit. Do not change niche.
- Views fail — pivot. Niche is too narrow or saturated. Try an adjacent niche. Do not go back to "sell everything".
5 mistakes new creators make
1. Jumping niches — multiple categories on one channel confuses the algorithm. Reach stays stuck at 200 views.
2. Using template scripts — sounding identical to other creators. TikTok's 2026 algorithm detects template content and down-ranks.
3. Long clips with no hook — first 5 seconds are about yourself. Viewers skip. Retention drops.
4. Deleting flop clips — the algorithm learns from both good and bad. Deleting kills training signal. Leave them.
5. Posting at random times — Thai audiences are heavy on TikTok 19:00-22:00. Posting at 14:00 misses prime time.

FAQ
How many clips before I should start selling?
At least 7 warm-up clips, all niche-matched. The algorithm needs to classify your channel before it can push selling clips to likely buyers.
What if I do not have my own product?
TikTok Shop Affiliate. No inventory needed — sell others' products for commission. Lowest-risk start for Thai creators.
How long until the first sale?
In our data, creators who follow this structure usually get their first order in Week 3-4. If Week 4 ends with no sales, the issue is usually niche-audience mismatch or a weak CTA — not "I am bad at selling".
How much should I invest?
0 baht with affiliate. If buying products to resell, start at 3,000-5,000 baht for 1-2 SKUs. Never put more than 10,000 baht in before proving there are real buyers.
Is Krevio actually free?
Channel analysis is free, unlimited (free tier — see /pricing). AI Chat + Script Generator are free 3/day. Upgrade only after you start making sales.
Summary
The first 30 days on TikTok Shop are not about luck — they are about structure. Foundation week + warm-up week + selling week + read-the-data week. Most creators who follow this structure make it through.
